Scope and Content 


Records consist of by-laws, meeting minutes, membership lists and questionnaires, correspondence, financial records, reports, and committee records documenting the membership and activities of the Women's Musical Club of Winnipeg. Records also include visitors' books, autograph books signed by performers, and planning materials, programs, posters and handouts for concerts and recitals. Fonds also includes scrapbooks, newspaper clippings, histories of the club, and photographs of events and performers. Records also include video recordings of the 1995 Centennial Scholarship Recital and of the 110th anniversary festivities in 2005.


Administrative History or Biographical Sketch 


The Women's Musical Club of Winnipeg was established in 1894 and presents an annual concert series, offers several scholarships and the WMC McLellan Competition for Solo Performance.
