Series consists of records of divorce applications and proceedings filed in the Court of Queen's Bench Divorce Court in Winnipeg, including notices of motion, exhibits, decree nisi and decree absolute.

Researchers are responsible for observing copyright legislation. Permission may be required for any form of publication or exhibition where records are not in the public domain.

In June 1968, following changes to The Divorce Act, the Court started numbering files again at number 1 which led to duplication of numbers 1-252 in that year. Listings for GR4922 include names for these files so that the correct file can be requested.

In 1984, the Court of Queen's Bench Unified Family Division was created. Divorce proceedings are now part of the family files series (see ATG 0040A).
