Series consists of 55 educational films produced by the School Broadcasts Branch in cooperation with the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation and broadcast in Manitoba schools. Film content includes the social impact of the Industrial Revolution; Elizabethan theatre; tours of Manitoba historic sites including Lower Fort Garry, the Grey Nuns Museum, St. Andrews church, and the Manitoba Legislative Building; how to learn historical facts from artifacts; alcohol awareness education; career choices after high school graduation; and stage productions of George Bernard Shaw's "Arms and the Man," and Sean O'Casey's "Juno and the Paycock." |
