Scope and Content |
|
Series consists of files of proposed or completed sports, artistic or cultural projects initiated by municipalities, regional committees, institutions and organizations as part of the 1967 and 1970 national and provincial centennials. The projects were part of a federal-provincial grants program which was designed to further artistic and cultural pursuits and entertainment within the province during these important milestones. Projects included the assembly of local histories, the establishment and funding of local museums, and the organization of various cultural celebrations. Project files arranged alphabetically, by project applicant. Other records arranged under Branch-specific subject headings. |
